Exercise Physiology and Metabolism Laboratory (LAFEM)
This laboratory develops studies that investigate the adaptations of organic systems to physical exercise.
Multi-User Equipment
Developed activities:
• Adaptations of organic systems to physical exercise.
• Models of physical training in obesity and aging.
• Effects of fasting physical training on health parameters.
• Effects of genetic characteristics on the response to different physical training programs.
• Effects of aerobic, anaerobic, and strength physical exercise, acute and/or chronic, on molecular signaling pathways in different tissues (heart, liver, skeletal muscle, and hypothalamus) of rodents and in the skeletal muscle of human beings with or without chronic-degenerative diseases (diabetes and obesity).
• Effect of physical exercise on vascular reactivity in animal models.
• Effect of ergogenic resources supplementationduring physical exercise.
